JUST HOW MUCH TELEVISION DO WE WATCH? And is the internet replacing TV??? As I head to Las Vegas for the National Assn of Broadcasters Conference of more than 100,000 attendees around the world, I thought I'd check to see how much television people ARE REALLY watching....and the stats are astounding. 264.5 minutes in a 24 hour period -- according to a Neilsen study released by the Television Advertising Bureau last Thursday.
HOW MUCH TV DO WE WATCH????
Excerpted from a report in television trade publication "Broadcasting & Cable" (B&C): adults spent an average of 264.5 minutes per 24 hours watching TV, compared to 125.5 minutes for radio, 85 for the Internet, 20 for newspapers and 16.3 with magazines. (note the study included 1,183 people and the results were released exclusively in B&C.
