Lost TV Show/Sprite Duo -- update....Hollywood2020 blogger Joyce Schwarz got confirmation last week from a Coke executive(see link: CONFIRMS SUBLYMONAL SPRITE TIE Cached )that there is a Sprite tie-in with LOST TV SHOW. "Yes, it is Sprite" Carol Kruse, VP Interactive Marketing, The Coca Cola Co, said in response to a question at the microphone center-audience from Schwarz at a May 12 workshop at the E3 Show (www.e3expo.com).
Yet, there still seems to be some conjecturing about the sponsorship in the trade press. See BRANDWEEK's post on May 14: Sprite Finds Lost Partner? (Brandweek magazine May 14) Is there a subLYMONal message embedded within an alternate-reality game based around the ABC show Lost? If so, we're (Brandweek's) betting it's "Be Sure to Drink Your Sprite."
HOLLYWOOD2020 Blog notes: What's new in the BRANDWEEK article is the reference to the firm that appears to have created the websites: "Sources said the Lost tie-in was created by Web site consultancy AKQA, San Francisco, which did not return (BRANDWEEK's)calls by press time.
AKQA (blogger note - the letters generally stand for an acronmym in the web business called "All Known Questions Asked" -- so I guess what happened at AKQA for Sprite (if it did) will stay at AKQA until later....
3G -- not just mobile phones-- but a new energy drink by Sprite!
Meanwhile, I'd like to get my hands or really my tastebuds on the new SPRITE 3G drink-- that appears to be launching in UK and not the USA yet. Check out the new interactive TV campaign for Sprite 3G -- at www.blog.itvt.com/my_weblog/2006/04/cocacola_taps_w.html - 13k -
Sprite 3G (according to a UK ad trade site Cached )is an energy drink which will be added to the product range from October. It contains glucose, guarana and caffeine from green coffee beans and will be available in a 250ml can which retails at 89p
