    CONTENT MAY BE KING BUT DISTRIBUTION PAYS THE KING'S MORTGAGE

    "Content may be king but distribution pays the king's mortgage' says Wilson White(Ed Asner) to Jordan McDeere(Amanda Peet) on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip TV show on NBC tonight. Asner plays the 'big boss' Mr. White, of the fictional NBS.com Network. Peet's character McDeere is the new prexy of NBS.com Nbs_1 (see jpeg below of fictional NBS.com website).

    NBS Broadband division:

    We also caught part of White's (Asner's) comment about the broadband division of fictional NBS never getting them on the cover of a major magazine -- I believe there was an actual magazine title reference here.  If you're into new media like blogger Joyce Schwarz, Hollywood2020.blogs.com is (this blog) then you may get a kick out of this witty repartee between NBS top dawgs. NBC recently launched its own broadband division called none other than NBBC.NBC Goes Broadband with NBBC .
