WHY IS THIS RELEVANT TO A BLOG ON THE FUTURE OF HOLLYWOOD...because it shows the power of the cell phone video to make international news and get millions of viewers...because it shows that you can scoop the networks even when they are Arab networks.
Because this may be some people's idea of the future of entertainment--- as sad as it may seem to some...live events today go beyond news...they play a part in forming the next-generation of popular culture and technology enables them. If it can do something like this viral video...think what the right powerful viral video can do for good...for fighting hunger, raising money for AIDS and more...the power is in the hands of the people....and in this case the lunatics are really running the asylum!.
