Okay, after seeing the 'Simpsons In Paris' fashion spread in this month's HARPER'S BAZAAR magazine, Hollywood2020.blogs.com Joyce Schwarz could not wait to see the Simpsons movie. BUT guess what? SPOILER -- they don't go to Paris in the movie.
THE SIMPSONS go to Paris in this month's "Harper's Bazaar" magazine!
SIMPSONIZED!
In an Associated Press article about the feature, What would Marge wear? Laura Brown, director of articles and special projects at Bazaar, said the scenes feature real styles straight from the catwalk that will be offered as part of the designers' fall collections. "The designers we've heard back from have asked for framed prints," Brown said. "Who doesn't want to be Simpsonized?"
It's an 8 page spread with some amazing illustrations by Julius Preite who is credited in varous pubs as Simpson's illustrator and Simpson's layout artist. We found a reputable reference source that says he is Creative Director of Animation at Fox Broadcasting and that his education was at the The School of the Art Institute of Chicago! Kudos for a 'fantastical' job! This could be a book in itself-- I can see it now -- Day in the Life of Paris with the SIIMPSONS! JS.
