Melissa Rivers explains SAG AWARDS AGREE TO WRITER'S TERMS
Just wanted to note that only veteran awards reporter Melissa Rivers explained that Screen Actors Guild Awards will be on at the end of the month not just because of a waiver with the WGA BUT because that show's producers agreed to meet the demands of the striking writers.
Kudos to Melissa Rivers for not only knowing that but doing her homework in advance -- she talked to the Striking Writers and found out the scoop on this. So that's really the reason the Golden Globes did NOT get a waiver it appears -- they did not agree to the WGA terms...as has Letterman's company and others who are moving forward.
Melissa Rivers was only reporter to have real scoop on why Golden Globes did not get a waiver for its event!
Any comments? js. Joyce Schwarz, JCOM, conducted the first workshops on new media for the WGA and DGA back in 1995 -- she wishes the best to the Guild for settling the strike ASAP!
