Just caught a glimpse of his news via my colleage KenRadio.com -- here is the update on the Harris Poll that says Gay and Lesbians read more blogs blogged by Joyce Schwarz, Hollywood2020.blogs.com.
According to the sumamry on www.advocate.com -- Fifty-one percent of gay and lesbian adults who use the Internet regularly read blogs, while just 36% of heterosexuals do, according to a Harris Interactive and Witeck-Combs Communications poll conducted in March.
A nationwide survey of 2,733 adults shows that 27% of LGBT Web users have posted a comment on a blog in the last month, in contrast with 13% of heterosexuals. Additionally, 21% of gays and lesbians said they written their own blog in the last month, compared with 7% of their straight counterparts.
Gays and Lesbians Read Blogs More than Heterosexuals

* 28% of gay and lesbian adults reported reading news and current issue blogs, compared with 19% of heterosexuals.
* 26% of gay and lesbian adults also read entertainment and pop culture blogs, compared with 11% of heterosexuals.
* With the heightened interest in this year’s electoral contests, 23% of gay and lesbian adults said they read political blogs. Just 14% of heterosexual adults reported reading political blogs.
Apart from blogs, gay and lesbian adults also participate in other online activities more than heterosexuals:
Asked how often they send instant messages to friends or other people, for reasons other than work-related tasks, in a typical month, 25% of gay adult men said they send instant messages at least once a day. Just 15% of heterosexual adult men said so.
* 50% of gay and lesbian adults said they have sent instant messages (IMs) in the last month, compared with just one-third (34%) of heterosexual adults.
The trend is similar in the case of online communities and dating websites:
* Most gay adult men (57%) online said they are a member of a social-networking website, compared with 37% of heterosexual men.
* 42% gay and lesbian adults said they have visited an online social community or network in the last month, compared with 32% of heterosexuals.
* 26% of gay adult men reported visiting a dating or match-up site in the last month, compared with 9% of heterosexual male adults.
